April is Keep America Beautiful Month!
Founded more than 50 years, Keep America Beautiful works to unite individuals, businesses, and local government all in the name of protecting and preserving the environment. The organization celebrates their work every April during Keep America Beautiful month and encourages people to work together to prevent litter, reduce waste and beautify their communities.
This Video Writing Prompt requires students to watch a video of community residents working together to clean up litter and plant trees. Have your students watch the video and then ask them to complete the writing exercise.
Explain to student what litter is and help them understand how littering negatively affects the community they live in. Then, ask students to write or draw examples of litter.
