K-2: You for President!

Pretend that you are running for president. Draw a poster that says "Vote for [Your Name]" and decorate it!


3-5: Updating the President List

Who are the two most recent presidents missing from the list? What do you know about them? Write down their names. Then, write a silly sentence for each president that describes them or something that happened in the United States while they were president.

3-8: Your Campaign Slogan

Pretend you are running for president. Write a campaign slogan that you could put on a poster. It should include your name and tell people to vote for you. You can use rhyme, alliteration (starting words with the same letter) or a fun theme (American eagles, flags or fireworks for example).


Bonus: Create your campaign poster with your slogan and an image!


 

6-8: Your Fun Facts

This video shows how presidents are people too. What would your fun fact be? What sets you apart from your classmates. Write down your fun fact and then share with your classmates.


9-12: Judging Presidents

What makes a good president? Brainstorm different characteristics, actions and achievements you think people should use to judge presidents on their time in office. Choose the top three reasons and explain why those are the most important criteria for judging presidential success.
