Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
My favorite teacher was my kindergarten teacher. She made school so fun and exciting for me! My senior year of high school, I volunteered and was assigned to work in her kindergarten room! It was an amazing experience and made me want to be a teacher!
What are three things every teacher should own?
A sense of humor, lots of books, and all the technology you can find!
If you could have any person (living, dead or fictional) as a principal, who would it be?
Anyone who loves children and works for them every day.
What profession other than your own would you most like to attempt?
Describe your all-time favorite lesson/unit activity
Living Lady bugs! This lesson is great because I order live lady bugs for the students to observe then release! We also learn the life cycle, body parts and of course read The Grouchy Lady Bug. So much fun!
What is the greatest misconception about teachers?
That we know everything!
What stereotype about teachers is true?
We are truly passionate about our job and most do not do it for the "summers off." We love children! :)
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
Trying it out for size in high school gave me the hands on experience I needed to realize it was where I was meant to be!
