K-2: Transform Your House
They made the store look like a present, a castle and even a sweater. If you could transform your house, what would you make it look like? Draw a picture of your house “dressed up” and write what it is beneath the picture.
3-5: Looks Can Be Deceiving
A light show makes this store looks like something it really isn’t. Think of a time you saw something or someone that turned out to be very different than you first thought.
First, name that thing, person or place.
Second, explain what you originally thought about it/him/her.
Lastly, explain how that thing, person or place really is.
6-8: Modernize Traditions for the 21st Century
This is a technologically-advanced approach to a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new store. Think of other traditional ceremonies, like receiving a diploma at graduation, 4th of July fireworks celebrations, passing the Olympic torch, awarding statues at the Oscars or even a wedding.
In at least two paragraphs, describe an updated version of the ceremony using technology to add some pizazz.
9-12 Viral Marketing for Your School
H&M is getting a tremendous amount of exposure worldwide from this light display ribbon cutting. Pretend you’ve been tasked with promoting your school to new potential students. Brainstorm 5 ideas that would bring make people want to spread the word about enrolling at your school.
Think about popular social media like facebook, YouTube and twitter to consider how this promotion could spread quickly with students.
