Teacher Ryan Heber is being credited with saving the lives of as many as 28 students after he stepped between his class and a shotgun.
A 16-year-old student entered Heber's classroom armed with a shotgun, and fired twice, critically wounding a classmate. Heber confronted the assaillant while his students escaped. Campus superviser Kim Fields rushed to the classroom, and together Heber and Fields convinced the gunman to lay down his weapon.
