In education news, more than 20,000 job applicants in the Plainfield, IL School District 202 received an offensive stock e-mail from a district e-mail address, with their individual full names embedded in the text. The online application information was recently hacked and accessed by an unknown perpetrator who sent the hateful message to all job applicants from the past several years, including applicants whose applications were apparently disabled.
The video below shows one woman who received the e-mail message and took personal offense to it, unaware of just how many people received this distasteful e-mail.
What are your thoughts in regards to the online application process? Are you concerned about the safety of your information?
