K-2: Create Party Invitations

In the movie, everyone is invited to a wedding. Now, it's your turn to invite YOUR friends and family to a party.

Why are you having a party?

Will your party have a theme? If so, what will it be? (For instance, you could have a Twilight theme party. Everyone could come dressed as a vampire or werewolf. If you're throwing a party for a holiday, that could be the theme.)

9-12: Adapting Books for the Big Screen

The Twilight series is one of the most popular modern book series to become a movie franchise. When books are adapted into movies, there is always a debate about whether the book or movie is better.

Using either Twilight or another example, compare the experience of reading a book and watching a movie made about a book. Which did you prefer? Why?

Then, write a 2-3 paragraph letter to a friend arguing which version of they should choose.
