By Teachers, For Teachers
Today is National Teacher Day, a day to honor teachers and educators, and to salute the very important role they play in shaping the lives of children.
The TeachHUB team knows that, even though teaching is a difficult profession, educators pour their hearts and souls into their work. And though news headlines questioning teacher's salaries, teacher quality, and teacher commitment may make it seem like no one values your work, we want you to know that you are appreciated. Don't believe us? A recently released survey proves that Americans do value teachers!
Kars4Kids, a non-profit that provides school mentoring programs, summer camps, and tuition assistance for children, talked to 1,000 adults to get their feelings about teachers. The results should make you smile:
Sadly, only 25-percent of survey participants have ever sent a thank-you gift or note to their teachers. But don't let that get you down, because the numbers don't lie: teachers are valued for their work!
