Edited to add: This app deserves a 5+ rating. It is completely addictive and educational for any age level!
The Stack the States app helps students learn the capitals, shapes, geographical location and flags of all 50 states. Players are asked a question such as: Richmond is the capital of which state? They are given images of 4 labeled states to choose from. If choose the wrong state, the 3 incorrect states fall away and the right one remains, and the screen reads the capital of Virginia is Richmond. If they've answered correctly, students are then prompted to "drop" their state, which then falls into the "pile" of correctly answered states. Once they have answered enough questions correctly for their "pile" of states to reach the checkered finish line, they win.
You earn a random state for every successfully completed level. All of your states appear on your own personalized map of the United States. As you earn more states, you begin to unlock the four free bonus games: Map It, Pile Up, Puzzler and Capital Drop.
