What do you hope for? Write/draw three things on your hope list. Then, share your hopes with the class.

3-5: Classroom Sheriff

Rango is new to town and is given the position of sheriff. A sheriff is in charge of enforcing rules to make sure the townspeople are safe.

Pretend you are the sheriff of your classroom. Create a list of 5 rules you would enforce to make sure your classroom is a fun, safe and welcoming place to learn.

6-8: Standing Out in the Crowd

Rango is a chameleon. Chameleons are known for blending into their environment, but it seems like Rango stands out because he is new to the town.

Was there ever a time where you stood out from a group, your family or friends? How did it make you feel? Write a paragraph describing your experience and your feelings. If you cannot think of a certain time, imagine how it would feel.

9-12: The Importance of Confidence

Rango seems to be playing the role of a brave hero when his accomplishments are mainly accidents. He is able to make people believe in him because he believes in himself.

How can you apply that "fake it 'til you make it" philosophy in your life, either with school, sports, work/future careers, etc.? Describe a scenario in which a positive attitude and self-confidence can be more important than experience or skill.
