Teaching Motto: If I can inspire at least one child... change at least one child's life... then I did something right.
Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
My dad. He's a great man in my eyes. He knows when to be serious, yet never takes himself seriously. He is a great leader at work, and therefore his coworkers love him. He is always pushing me to expect more from myself, even when sometimes I feel like I can't go any further. I think the kids at any school would love him.
What profession other than your own would you most like to attempt?
I have dreams to be a professional director on Broadway or in film. But if I wasn't doing theatre, probably an astronaut. Space fascinates me.
Describe your all-time favorite lesson/unit activity
Letting the kids create their own film project. The ideas they come up with always blow my mind!
What is the greatest misconception about teachers?
We're boring. I'm so not boring! And most of my teachers friends aren't either!
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I've been working with kids since I was young myself. It's always come naturally for me. As I got older I realized how much impact I had on children. I also like sharing my passion for theatre with them!
