Today, people around the U.S. celebrated Giving Tuesday, a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season added to the calendar on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

A group called Fresh Artists gave Giving Tuesday a new perspective by giving students the power of philanthropy by allowing them to donate digital reproductions of their own art to corporations, who then “buy” the art, and the proceeds are used to purchase art supplies to under-funded schools.
