It's that time of year when I need a break from students and their attitude. I want to be around people who you don't have to give the benefit of the doubt to because they're children and it's your job to help them be more responsible and to help them learn, no matter how they behave.
I took a Mental Health day today for the benefit of my students. After attending an expulsion hearing for a girl who got in a fight that I had to break up earlier this week and being called ugly by a student after giving her a detention yesterday.... I needed a break.
