I am happy to announce TeachHUB's Spring 2010 Contests and Giveaways JUST for teachers: TeachHUB Spa Giveaway & School Spirit Contest !!!

The Spring ’10 School Spirit Contest gives teachers an opportunity to earn extra funding for after-school programs while competing with other super enthusiastic educators. While the School Spirit Contest competition heats up, the TeachHUB Spa Giveaway will give one lucky teacher a chance to unwind.

Since we launched the TeachHUB resource site for K-12 educators last April, we’ve made a lot of big changes to **hopefully** make TeachHUB as useful, fun and teacher-friendly as possible.

I wanted to let you know about theses changes and ask for your help and advice as we continue trying to make TeachHUB a valuable resource for you and your fellow teachers.

This semester, I’m trying out a new project for my writing class that could be interesting. I’m inviting my students to start a blog about anything they want (within reason) in an attempt to get them excited (or at least relaxed) about writing. Hopefully, they’ll love it and keep it going even after they finish the class.

 I’d love to get some feedback from anyone who’s tried out blogs in the classroom.

As we wrap up the Holiday Lesson Plan Giveaway, I want to thank everyone who spread the word and got so many new teachers involved in the TeachHUB community.

Now it's time for some new, fresh fun. We love giving back to teachers with things they need, want and enjoy.

So the question is: what should our next giveaway be?

As a new feature on the site, we'd like to let teachers share their favorite websites for school. Check out my favorites and share yours in the comments section!

Congrats to David Andrade and Kelly Lonergan, winners of TeachHUB's latest rounds of giveaways and contests!

David Andrade of Central High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut won the $250 Classroom Supplies Giveaway. He's using the money to replenish some much-needed science supplies for the school. On behalf of TeachHUB, happy experimenting!After two weeks of voting, Kelly Lonergan of Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields Illinois won the coveted "Best Dressed Teacher" title with 34% of the vote!
